Position Papers

Call for Position Papers

The Position Paper stream is intended to provide authors an opportunity to share exciting research, and emerging, provocative or critical work that does not easily fit within the format expected of a full HCI paper.  We are particularly interested in receiving proposals aligned with this year’s conference topic “Fusion!  HCI across Disciplines”.

Position Papers are a great route to speaking at the conference without the requirement to write and submit a conventional technical paper. In keeping with the conference theme of fusion across disciplines, the goal of the stream is to widen participation in the conference to include people who do not necessarily carry out design, development and evaluation work, but whose research nonetheless concerns the understanding and exploration of interaction with technology.  Position papers which demonstrate a fusion of ideas across discipline, methodological, or organisational boundaries are particularly welcome.

Submission Guidelines

Position papers should be no more than 2 pages (excluding references), and should follow the eWiC template. Position papers must be submitted via EasyChair by 5:00 p.m GMT on March 4th 2016.

Selection Process

All submissions will be peer reviewed by an international programme committee.

Accepted papers will be included in conference proceedings and published in the BCS e-WIC repository and in the ACM Digital Library.
